Jazz Italian guitarist Luigi Tessarollo, is going to give a weekend masterclass at the Euro Institute of Music Hamrun. Classes are going to be divided into two.  Beginner to intermediate is for those who are new to jazz music. In this class we are going to work on theory and forms.  The advanced class is catered for students who already have been listening and  playing to some jazz.

Sandro Zerafa is a Paris-based Maltese jazz guitarist. He holds a BA (Hons) in Music (Malta) and a Medaille d’Or in Jazz guitar from the Lyon conservatory. He placed third at the French National Jazz 2004 contest and the prestigious ‘mention speciale de jury’ for composition at the 2005 edition.  

 

May 2008

 

  During his visit to Malta, guitar legend GORDON GILTRAP will be running a guitar workshop/masterclass at the Euro Institute of Music, Hamrun.  Gordon will look at technique / equipment, and approach to live performance.  The workshop will also include a question and answer session relating to his 40 years in the business, and the people he has worked with like Brian May, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Sir Cliff Richard, etc.
